People in Navarre treat this like a local holiday and then act surprised that Via de Luna is a parking lot with a speed limit. The show is on Pensacola Beach. You drive west. You do not watch it from the Navarre pier and call it the same thing.
2026 dates (NBC15)
WEAR / NBC15 published the 2026 Pensacola Beach Air Show as Wednesday through Saturday, July 15–18. We copied this Aug 26, 2026. Times are theirs, not ours:

NBC15 also listed a long 2026 performer lineup and noted the Blue Angels’ 80th anniversary. We are not reprinting the whole poster. If you care who flies when, use the article. “About 2 p.m.” is an approximate show time, not a gate-open time we invented.

Where to watch without living in a parking lot
We do not have an official 2026 parking map, lot-fee table, or “secret viewing beach” blessed by the county. Anyone selling you that as fact on a blog is guessing. What we can say:
- The show is Pensacola Beach. Watch from the sand if you can legally park and walk. A beach day with a show overhead is still a beach day: shade, water, wagon, out with your gear at the end.
- Navarre is the quieter base. Sleep here, drive in for the window you actually care about (Saturday show, or Thursday practice if you wanted fewer people). Do not haul a pop-up, a grill, and three coolers “just in case we stay eight hours.”
- Bob Sikes Bridge is $1 electronic if you use that crossing. TOLL-BY-PLATE adds a $2.50 admin fee per billing cycle, per Escambia County — same figure we use in the Fort Pickens guide. We are not inventing air-show shuttle prices. We did not find one to reprint.
- Gulf Islands / Fort Pickens is west of the town strip. NPS day-use rules still apply: entrance pass at the fee gates, no overnight parking for day use, pets off seashore beaches, out by the posted close. It is a national seashore, not overflow event parking we are going to bless. Check NPS fees and road-flood notices before you tow anyone down Fort Pickens Road on a show Saturday.
- Do not camp it. Pensacola Beach sand is not a campsite. Neither is Navarre. See camping on Navarre Beach.
Heat is the actual problem
July on this coast is hurricane season (June 1–Nov 30) and it is also a furnace. People remember the jets and forget they sat in 90-degree sand from 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. One bottle of water apiece is how families cook themselves. Fill a jug on the mainland. A low beach tent beats a 10×10 pop-up that wants to fly. Ear protection is not optional for small kids when fighters are the point of the trip.

Foam plugs or real muffs. Jets are loud on purpose. If you brought a toddler to see the Blue Angels, you brought ear protection or you brought a crying toddler.

The walk from wherever you actually park is longer than the walk in your head. Thin wheels die in Gulf powder. See the wagon guide.

Fill it before you sit in traffic. Hang it on the wagon if you walked it in. Pensacola Beach is not a place you want to discover you are out of water at 1:40 p.m.

We are not listing unofficial “best lot” names as if they were county policy. We are not quoting a 2026 air-show parking fee we did not find on an agency page. We are not promising Fort Pickens as a guaranteed viewing terrace. If the National Hurricane Center or Escambia / Santa Rosa emergency management is talking about this coast that week, skip the show.
